Details of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022 for Assistant Commandant

1. Name of Branch: General Duty (GD)

Gender: Male

Educational Qualification:
(i) Should hold a degree of recognised university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

(ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject upto Intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

Age: Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002. There is age relaxation as per rule.

2. Name of Branch: Commercial Pilot Licence (SSA)

Gender: Male / Female

Educational Qualification:
(i) Should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics and mathematics as subjects with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.The candidates who have completed diploma are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

(ii) Should possess current Commercial Pilot Licence issued/ validated by Director General Civil Aviation on the date of submission of application.

Age: Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2004. There is age relaxation as per rule.

3. Name of the Branch: Technical (Mechanical)

Gender: Male

Educational Qualification:
(i) Should hold an Engineering degree of recognised university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognised by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from section ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).

(ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject upto intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

Age: Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002.

4. Name of the Branch: Technical (Electrical / Electronics)

Gender: Male

Educational Qualification:
(i) Should hold an Engineering degree of recognised university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

Note: Candidates having Integrated Post-Graduation are also eligible provided they should have a certificate issued by the respective Institution/ University, certifying that the candidate has passed the qualifying Degree (with Percentage/Class) as a part of the Integrated Post Graduation Course and the candidate is eligible for award of Graduation Degree. The candidate has to upload the certificate carrying Name, Father’s name, Date of Birth, Registration Number/ Roll No. during the registration.

Age: Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002

Pay Scale: Pay scales are as per the 7th CPC with other pay and allowances

Selection Procedure: The selection of Officer recruits is based on an all India order of merit which is based on the performance of candidate in various stages (I – V) of examination consisting of Stage-I (CGCAT), Stage-II (Preliminary Selection Board (PSB), Stage-III: Final Selection Board (FSB), Stage-IV (Medical Examination) and Stage-V (Induction).

Examination Fee: Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs.250 through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa / Master / Maestro / RuPay / Credit / Debit Card / UPI.

Candidates from SC/ST category are entitled for waiver of examination fee.

How to Apply: Applications will be accepted only ‘ONLINE’ from 18 Feb 2022 (1100 hrs) to 28 Feb 2022 (1700 hrs). The candidates are to logon to https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in and follow the instructions for registering with e-mail ID / mobile number.
