A) Assam Police Radio Organisation (APRO)

1. Name of the Post: Constable (WO / WT / OPR)

No. of Post: 441 [UR- 312, OBC/MOBC- 90, SC- 21, ST(P-: 16, ST(H) – 02]

Essential Qualification:
♦ 10+2 (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council.
♦ The candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) of 10+2 (Science) examination to apply for the post.

Pay Scale: Rs. 14000-60,500 / (Pay Band II) with Grade Pay of Rs. 6200/-

2. Name of the Post: Constable (UB)

No. of Post: 2 [UR-1, OBC / MOBC-2]

Essential Qualification: HSSLC or Class- XII Passed from a recognized Board or Council.

Pay Scale: Rs. 14000-60,500 / (Pay Band II) with Grade Pay of Rs. 5600/-

3. Name of the Post: Constable (Messenger)

5. Name of the Post: Constable (Dispatch Rider)

B) Fire and Emergency Services (F & ES)

1. Name of the Post: Assistant Squad Commander

No. of Post: 05 [UR-03, OBC / MOBC-01, ST(P)-01]

Essential Qualification:
♦ Class-XII passed or equivalent (Science) having Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council.
♦ The candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) of 10+2 (Science) examination to apply for the post.

Pay Scale: Pay Scale Rs. 14000-60,500/ (Pay Band II) with Grade Pay of Rs. 6200/-

2. Name of the Post: Driver (Operator)

No. of Post: 12 [UR-7, OBC/MOBC-3, SC-1, ST(P)-1]

Essential Qualification: Class VIII passed and must possess valid driving license for HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicles) from recognized Authority (Assam State only).

Pay Scale: Rs. 14000-60,500/ (Pay Band II) with Grade Pay of Rs. 5000/-

Physical Standards:
i) Height (Minimum):
a) Gen / OBC / MOBC/SC: Male & Transgender – 162.56 cm, Female – 154.94 cm.
b) ST (H) / ST(P): Male and Transgender – 160.02 cm, Female – 152.40 cm.

ii) Chest (Minimum): [For male and transgender candidates only]
a) Gen /OBC / MOBC / SC / ST(P) etc: Normal – 80 cm, Expanded – 85 cm.
b) ST (H): Normal – 78 cm, Expanded – 83 cm.

Medical Standards: Candidates must not have knocked knee, flat foot or squint eyed, and they should not be colour blind. Varicose vein shall be considered a temporary disqualification. They must be in good mental and bodily health. They must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases or any other ailment that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties. The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.

Age:
(I) For the posts of Constables in APRO & Driver (Operator) in F&ES: 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2022.
(II) For the posts of Asstt. Squad Commander: 20 to 24 years as on 01-01-2022.
There is upper age limit relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC category.

Selection Process: Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respect will have to undergo the Physical Standards Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET). If any candidate is found to have any physical deformity as may be detected by the Medical Officer present in the DLSC, he/ she will be debarred from participating in the other tests.

Application Fee: There will be no application fee.

Centre of Recruitment Rally: The date and venue of Physical Standard Test & Physical Efficiency Test (PST & PET) and Written Test etc will be intimated in due course of time by email, SMS and various other means and through SLPRB website (www.slprbassam.in).
