Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Manipur invites application in the prescribed format from intending and eligible candidates for appointment to the posts of Agriculture Officer, Assistant Agriculture Officer and Field Assistant (FA) / Village Extension Worker (VEW) purely on contractual basis through sponsorship of the concerned Employment Exchanges in Manipur. The total no of vacant post is 85.

Qualification: B.Sc. (Agri/Horti) from a recognized University or its equivalents.

Consolidated Pay (50% of Pay Matrix Level): Level 9

2. Name of the Post: Assistant Agriculture Officer / Equivalents

No. of Post: 48

Distribution of Post: ST: 14, SC: 1, OBC-M: 6, OBC-MP: 1, UR: 26

Qualification: B.Sc. (Agri/Horti) from a recognized University or its equivalents.

Consolidated Pay (50% of Pay Matrix Level): Level 7

3. Name of the Post: FA / VEW

No. of Post: 31

Distribution of Post: ST: 8, SC: 1, OBC-M: 5, UR: 17

Qualification: P.U. Science/XII Sc. Passed.

Desirable: B.Sc. (Agri)/B.Sc. in Botany or Zoology.

Consolidated Pay (50% of Pay Matrix Level): Level 3

Age: Candidate shall be as per State Government Rules/Policy on the date of this notification.

Modalities of Exam: The modalities of the examination shall consist of a multiple choice combined written test (MCQ) for Agriculture Officer/Equivalents & Assistant Agriculture Office/Equivalents comprising of General Knowledge (25 marks), General English (25 marks) and General Agriculture/Horticulture (50 marks).

Whereas, in case of FA / VEW, General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 marks), General Knowledge (25 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (25 marks) and English Language (25 marks).

Application Fee:
– UR & OBC candidate – Rs.700
– ST and SC – Rs.500
– PH & meritorious sport persons – Rs.300
