Details of Assam Rifles Recruitment 2022 for various posts under the Compassionate Ground Appointment Scheme

1. Name of Post: Rifleman General Duty (GD) (for Male and Female both)

No of Vacancy: 94

Age Limit: 18 to 23 Years

Education Qualification: 10th class pass from a recognized Board.

2. Name of Post: Clerk – Halvildar (for Male and Female both)

No. of Vacancy: 4

Age Limit: 18-25 years

Educational Qualification:
(a) Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from recognized Board / University or equivalent.

(b) Skill Test Norms on Computer: English typing with minimum speed of 35 words per minute on computer OR Hindi typing with minimum speed of 30 words per minute on computer (Time allowed 10 minutes).

3. Name of Post: Radio Mechanic – Warrant Officer (for Male candidates only)

No. of Vacancy: 4

Age Limit: 18 – 25 yrs

Educational Qualification:
(a) 10th from a recognized board with diploma in Radio and Television Technology or Electronics or Telecommunications or Computer or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Domestic appliances from any institution recognized by the Central Government or the State Government.

(b) 12th Standard or Intermediate or equivalent with aggregate marks of fifty percent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board or University or Institution.

Trade (Skill) Test Norms: Practical knowledge of the trade including examining malfunctioning of radio equipment, to locate defects such as loose connections, broken wires, or burned-out components, using of test equipment, install, adjust, repair mobile radio transmission, radio signal receiving equipment, radio communication systems, remove & replace defective components and parts such as conductors, resistors, semiconductors and integrated circuits using hand tools, repair circuits, wiring and soldering will be assessed by the Trade (Skill Test) Board.

4. Name of post: Operator Radio & Line – Havildar (for Male candidates only)

No. of Vacancy: 37

Age Limit: 18 – 25 yrs

Educational Qualification:
(a) 10th from a recognized board and two years Industrial Training Institute in Radio and Television or Electronics from a recognized Institute.

(b) 12th class pass or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of study from a recognized Board or University or Institute.

Trade Test Norms: Basic knowledge in AC & DC current, Rectification fault in electric circuit, MCB, fuse, Earthling sys, control of lighting systems, Handling of generators will be assessed by the Trade (Skill) Test.

5. Name of post: Armourer – Rifleman (for Male candidates only)

No. of Vacancy: 2

Age Limit: 18 – 23 yrs

Educational Qualification: 10th class pass from a recognized Board.

Trade Test Norms: Basic aptitude (practical in nature) in the trade will be assessed by the Trade (Skill) Test.

6. Name of Post: Laboratory Assistant – Rifleman (for Male candidates only)

No. of Vacancy: 1

Age Limit: 18 – 23 yrs

Educational Qualification: 10th class passed with English, Maths, Science and Biology from a recognized board.

Trade Test Norms: Basic aptitude (practical in nature) in the trade will be assessed by the Trade (Skill) Test.

7. Name of Post: Nursing Assistant – Rifleman (for Male candidates only)

No. of Vacancy: 5

Age Limit: 18 – 23 yrs

Educational Qualification: 10th class passed with English, Mathematics and Science with Biology from a recognized board.

Trade Test Norms: Basic aptitude (practical in nature) in the trade will be assessed by the Trade (Skill) Test.

8. Name of post: Washerman (for Male candidates only)

No. of Vacancy: 4

Age Limit: 18 – 23 yrs

Educational Qualification:10th class pass from a recognized Board.

Trade Test Norms: Practical knowledge in washer man skills and knowledge of different types of fabrics, ironing, dry cleaning and operation of washing machines will be assessed by the Trade (Skill) Test.

9. Name of Post: AYA – Rifleman (for Female candidates only)

No. of Vacancy: 1

Age Limit: 18 – 25 yrs

Educational Qualification: 10th class pass from a recognized Board.

Trade Test Norms: Basic aptitude (practical in nature) in the trade will be assessed by the Trade (Skill) Test.

Pay Scale: Pay Scale and other allowance will be admissible to Assam Rifles Personnel.

Selection Process: Selection process will be based on the Recruitment rally followed by a written test (Candidates applying under the COMPASSIONATE GROUND APPOINTMENT scheme will be exempted from WRITTEN EXAM TEST) and Trade (Skill) Test for all technical & tradesmen trades will be conducted before undergoing Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The candidates will be assessed as Pass or Fail in the trade test.

♦ Last date of receipt of applications from eligible candidates: 12th March 2022.
♦ Assam Rifles Recruitment Rally, Shillong, Meghalaya 2022-23: 2nd May 2022.
