Tezpur University recruitment 2021 for Guest Faculties for various Departments
Tezpur University is looking for Guest Faculties for various Departments in the University. Interested candidates with bio-data and testimonials may register and appear before the Selection Committee(s) as per the detailed advertisement which is
available in the website www.tezu.ernet.in.
The total no of vacant is 14 and the last date of registration / submission of application through e-mail: 22/01/2021 (Friday) (05:00 PM).

Essential Qualification: Eligibility (A or B)
A: i) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned / relevant / allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET / SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET / SLET / SET: Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Bye-laws / Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/ SLET /SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:-
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his / her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conferences/seminars sponsored/ funded / supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.
The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
Note: NET / SLET/ SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET / SLET / SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET / SET.
OR
B: The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university / institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:(i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).
4. Name of the Department: Mechanical Engineering

Essential Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. and M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch (asgiven in the previous column) with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
5. Name of the Department: Food Engineering & Technology

Essential Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. and M.E. / M.Tech. /M.S. (Two Years) or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch (as given in the previous column) with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
6. Name of the Department: Electrical Engineering
No. of post: 3
Essential Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering and M.E./ M.Tech. I M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. OR dual degree in Electrical Engineering relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
NOTES:
— For Commerce, applicants arc to clearly state their choice for Guest Faculty 1 / 2 / 3 in their application.
— Along with the applications, applicants (for all the departments) are to submit a 10-minute lecture video on a topic of their specialization / subject area.
— With regard to the minimum requirement of educational qualification, screening, etc.,relevant regulation of UGC / AICTE / NCTE will be applicable.
— The selected candidates may also be engaged for subsequent semester(s). if required.
Emoluments: Appointed Guest Faculties will be paid Rs. 1,500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs.50,000/- per month.

How to Apply: Interested candidates are to register their names along with detailed biodata / CV as given in Annexure-I along with the filled-in ANNEXURE-II (attached herewith) by e-mail to the Head of the concerned Department as stated above with the subject line “APPLICATION FOR GUEST FACULTY against Advt. No. 01/2021“
Candidates who do not register his / her name by the aforesaid time & date shall not be interviewed. Eligible candidates so registered shall appear before the concerned Selection Committee through GOOGLE MEET as per the above schedule. The link for the GOOGLEMEET shall be forwarded to the short-listed candidates before the interview.
