The National Informatics Centre (NIC), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades of driving Indiaā€™s digital transformation and e-Governance initiatives. To commemorate this milestone, NIC in collaboration with MyGov invites citizens to participate in a Logo Design and Tagline Writing Contest, fostering public engagement in shaping its golden jubilee identity. The contest seeks a fresh, innovative logo and tagline that reflect NICā€™s journey, impact, and future aspirations.

Participants should ensure their designs align with government norms, including the Digital Brand Identity Manual, and follow best design principles such as scalability, adaptability (black & white, color variations), and simplicity for diverse applications.

Name of Contest: Logo and Tagline Contest for 50 Years of NIC

Prize:
(i) The Winner for the Best Logo will receive Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only)
(ii) The Winner for the Best Tagline will receive Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only)

Technical parameters:
1) The logo must be submitted in JPG, JPEG or PNG format.
2) The logo must be designed on a digital platform that can be easily replicated on websites, mobile apps, social media posts, printed banners and so on.
3) The winning participant must submit an open and editable logo file.
4) The logo and tagline must be an original work. Any proof of plagiarism, imitation, replication, etc shall lead to disqualification.
5) Participants should submit a brief (not more than 100 words) to explain the rationale and relevance of the designed logo and the provided tagline with the given theme.
6) The logo should be designed in a coloured format.
7) The logo image should be in high resolution with a minimum of 300 DPI.
8) The logo should look clean (not pixilated or bit-mapped) when viewed onscreen at 100%.
9) Entries should not be submitted in compressed or self-extracting formats.
10) The logo design should not be imprinted or watermarked.

Terms and Conditions:
1. The contest is open to all Indian citizens.
2. The logo and tagline submissions shall abide by the technical parameters and other requirements listed in the terms and conditions.
3. It is clarified that no registration/ submission fees are payable.
4. All entries must be submitted on www.mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium/mode will not be considered for evaluation.
5. The participants agree to grant an exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license in respect of all the rights, titles and interests, including but not limited to intellectual property in the Submissions in favor of the organizers.
6. The organizers shall have all rights to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such Submissions, including, without limitation, selected portions thereof, in any way, in any or all media, without limitation, worldwide and in perpetuity, for use, including but not limited to, advertising, promotion, review, or any other purpose whatsoever.
7. The participants undertake not to file applications or claim rights, title, or ownership in the Submissions and shall provide all assistance to the Organizers to obtain registration of Intellectual Property in respect of the same, in the name of the Organizers, as may be required in any jurisdiction.
8. The submissions must include a brief description (i.e., an explanation of the logo, symbol, colour etc. up to 100 words) along with the image of the logo.


9. Please note that the logo and the tagline must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Anyone found infringing on othersā€™ copyright will be disqualified from the competition.
10. The participant should make sure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since the Department would be using this for further communication. This includes details such as name, complete postal address, email ID and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.
11. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, organizers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions or withdraw the competition at any time.
12. The Submissions shall not comprise any illegal, objectionable, or inappropriate
content.
13. At any stage of evaluation, if an entry is found to violate the guidelines, the entry will be removed from the evaluation process without giving any intimation.
14. The decision of the competent authority of the organizers will be final and binding to all the entries. No requests relating to claims of revaluation of the entries will be considered.
15. All disputes / legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the parties themselves.
16. By participating in the contest, the participants shall abide by all the terms and conditions of this contest, including any amendments or further updates.
17. The terms and conditions henceforth shall be governed by Indian laws and the judgments of the Indian judicial system.
