Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens to fill up the posts of Scientific Officers, Technical Officers, Technician, Stenographers, Upper Division Clerk, Driver, Security Guard, Work Assistant, Canteen Attendant and Stipendiary Trainees at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Energy, Kalapakkam.
Willing candidates can apply for the posts till 14th May 2021 through online mode. Candidates are suggested to check the eligibility qualifications, age limit, payment of fees and other information.
The details of the posts are mentioned below:
1. Name of the post: Scientific Officer / E
No of post: 1
Qualification: Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering / Materials Engineering with B. Tech. (Metallurgy) / M.Sc.(Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science) with minimum 60% marks in the respective discipline from a recognized University.
Age Limit: 18 – 40 years
Experience: 4 Years of experience in the relevant field.
Emoluments: Rs.78,800/- in Level 12 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
2. Name of the post: Technical Officer / E
No of post: 1
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) with minimum 60% marks in Chemical from a recognized University.
Age Limit: 18 – 40 years
Experience: 9 Years of experience in the relevant field.
Emoluments: Rs.78,800/- in Level 12 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
3. Name of the post: Scientific Officer / D
No of post: 3
Qualification: 1) Ph.D. in Physics / Electronics with Bachelor of Science (Physics) and Master of Science (Physics) or Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering (Master of Science) or Master of Technology in Electronics with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University.
2) Ph.D. (Physics or Materials Science) with Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics / Material Science with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University.
3) Ph.D. in the area of Ionising / Non-Ionising based Imaging NDE for Material Evaluation from a recognized university / institute and good programming skills and knowledge on MATLAB supported by scientific publications with Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Metallurgical or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics / Material Science with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University.
Age Limit: 18 – 40 years
Emoluments: Rs.67,700/- in Level 11 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
4. Name of the post: Technical Qfficer / C
No of post: 41
Qualification: 1) M.Sc./M.Tech. in Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology with minimum 60% of marks from a recognized University
2) Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) with minimum 60% marks in the respective discipline from a recognized University.
3) Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with 60% in Chemistry with Maths & Physics as ancillary subjects and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry (General, Applied, Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Analytical) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University.
4) Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with 60% in Physics with Maths & Chemistry as ancillary subjects and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics (General, Applied Condensed Matter Physics, Nuclear Physics and Theoretical Physics) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University. Mathematics/Numerical Methods must be one of the subjects at M.Sc. level.
Age Limit: 18 – 35 years
Emoluments: Rs.56,100/- in Level 10 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
5. Name of the post: Technician/B (Crane Operator)
No of post: 1
Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in SSC with Science & Maths (or) minimum 60% marks in HSC with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and certification in crane operation from a State or Central Government recognised institutions.
Age Limit: 18 – 25 years
Emoluments: Rs.21,700/- in Level 3 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
6. Name of the post: Stenographer Grade – III
No of post: 4
Qualification: 1) Matriculation / SSC or equivalent with 50% marks.
2) Minimum speed of 80 wpm in English Short-hand and 30 wpm in English typing.
Age Limit: 18 – 27 years
Emoluments: Rs.25,500/- in Level 4 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
7. Name of the post: Upper Division Clerk
No of post: 8
Qualification: A Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with an aggregate of 50% marks.
Age Limit: 18 – 27 years
Emoluments: Rs.25,500/- in Level 4 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
8. Name of the post: Driver (OG)
No of post: 2
Qualification: 1) Pass in 10th Standard/ SSC
2) Possession of a valid driving licence to drive light and heavy vehicles
3) Knowledge of motor mechanism (candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle)
4) Consolidated experience in driving a light or heavy vehicle for at least 3 years
Age Limit: 18 – 27 years
Emoluments: Rs. 19,900/- in Level 2 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
9. Name of the post: Security Guard
No of post: 1
Qualification: 1) SSC pass or equivalent certificate from Armed Forces
2) Physical Standards: As prescribed in the Method of Selection below
3) Candidates who qualify the physical test will be allowed to appear for a written test
Age Limit: 18 – 27 years
Emoluments: Rs. 18,000/- in Level 1 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
10. Name of the post: Work Assistant / A
No of post: 20
Qualification: Pass in 10th Standard / SSC
Age Limit: 18 – 27 years
Emoluments: Rs. 18.000/- in Level 1 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
11. Name of the post: Canteen Attendant
No of post: 15
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or institution.
Age Limit: 18 – 25 years
Emoluments: Rs. 18,000/- in Level 1 of the pay matrix + DA + allowances as admissible to Central Government servants.
12. Name of the post: Stipendiary Trainee Category – I
No of post: 68
Qualification: 1) Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering;
2) B.Sc. (Chemistry) from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks. (Chemistry as main subject and Physics and Mathematics as ancillary subjects);
3) B.Sc. (Physics) from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks.(Chemistry and Mathematics as ancillary subjects)
Age Limit: 18 – 24 years
Pay in the Level: Rs.44,900/- plus allowances as admissible to Central Government servants
13. Name of the post: Stipendiary Trainee Category – II
No of post: 171
Qualification: 1) Minimum 60% marks in SSC with Science and Mathematics.
(OR)
2) Minimum 60% marks in HSC with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
(AND)
2a) ITI Certificate of not less than 2 years duration in the relevant trade viz., Draftsman (Mechanical)/ Electrician/Electronic Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic/ Fitter/ Mechanical Machine Tool Maintenance/ Machinist/Turner/ Refrigeration & air conditioning/ Attendant Operator Chemical Plant
2b) ITI Certificate of not less than 1 year duration in the relevant trade viz., Rigger / Plumber / Mason / Carpenter / Welder (Gas and Electric Arc)
3) Minimum 60% marks in HSC with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Age Limit: 18 – 22 years
Pay in the Level: Rs.25,500 / Rs.21,700 plus allowances as admissible to Central Government servants
Method of Selection: Personal Interview, Online / Offline screening test, Written Test, Trade / Skills Test, Driving Test, Physical Test according to the posts.
