1. The chief of ISRO K Sivan has said India will set up its own space station in 7 years. The project would be an expansion of Gaganyan, India’s first manned mission slated for early 2022.

2. The cyclonic storm Vayu which was predicted to hit landfall between Dwarka and Veraval  deflected to northwestwards, parallel to the coast, and was headed in the direction of Oman.

3. Facebook has made its first equity investment in an Indian startup- Meesho, which connects re-sellers to manufacturersto sell goods via social-media platforms. Meesho is started by IIT-Delhi graduates Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Barnwal.
