Tamil Nadu TRB recruitment 2019 for PG Assistants and Phy Edn Directors — 2144 posts
Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) invites applications only through online mode from eligible candidates up to 05.00 P.M on 15.07.2019 for the Direct Recruitment for the post of Post Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors Grade-I in School Education and other Departments for the year 2018-2019.

Qualifications:
Post Graduate Assistants: No persons shall be eligible for appointment to the Post graduate Assistant post unless the candidate possesses the following qualifications as per G.O.(Ms) No.70, School Education (MS) Department, Dated 12.04.2018.
(i) Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution.
(or)
(ii) Post Graduate with at least 45% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from NCTE recognized institution (in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of application for recognition, the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to start new course of training) Regulation (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 10.12.2007.
(or)
(iii) Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed., from any NCTE recognized institution.
The above NCTE norm is applicable with the below mentioned relevant qualification as per the communication received from Director of School Education.
(i) A Masterās degree and Bachelorās degree in the same subject or its equivalent; and
(ii) B.Ed degree of a University in the State or a teaching degree of equivalent standards.
Physical Education Directors:
No persons shall be eligible for appointment to the Physical Education Directors Grade-I post unless the candidate possesses the following qualifications as per G.O.(Ms) No.70, School Education (MS) Department, Dated 12.04.2018.
(i) Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Health and Physical Education and Degree in Sports with at least 55% marks as per National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations,2009.
(or)
(ii) At least 50% or B.P.E degree / B.P.Ed (Integrated) 4 years professional degree in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) regulation,2007 notified on 10.12.2007.
(or)
(iii) B.P.Ed with at least 55% or B.P.E Course (or its equivalent) of 3 years duration with at least 50% marks {in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of application of norms and standards for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to start new course or training) Regulations,2002 notified on 13.11.2002 }
AND
M.P.Ed of at least 2 years duration from any National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution.
The above NCTE norm is applicable with the below mentioned relevant qualification as per the communication received from Director of School Education.
(i) A M.P.Ed degree of University in the State or a degree of equivalent standard; or
(ii) A Diploma equivalent to M.P.Ed degree.
1. The qualification prescribed above for this post should have been obtained by passing the required qualification after completing 10th (SSLC) and +2 (Higher Secondary or its equivalent) followed by an U.G. Degree in the relevant subject (for which candidate applies). Candidates should also possess a Post Graduate degree in the same subject and a B.Ed. or its
equivalent awarded by a University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission.
2. As per G.O.Ms.No.361 School Education Department dated 31.12.1999, candidates should have studied the same subject in Bachelor’s Degree and Masterās Degree, both for Academic Subjects and Languages.
3. Candidates who obtained a Degree (UG/PG) after undergoing a course of one year duration (Double degree / Dual degree / etc.) are NOT eligible to apply for this recruitment.
4. Candidates who obtained any of the required qualifications (SSLC, HSC (or) its equivalent, U.G Degree, P.G Degree, B.Ed or its equivalent simultaneously are NOT eligible to apply for this recruitment.
5. The candidates should apply only for the vacancies notified and subject specified. The candidates applying for the posts mentioned in Annexure-I should have passed Tamil as one of the Language i n SSLC. If not, the candidate should pass Tamil Language Test conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission within two years from the date of appointment.
6. The candidates not having prescribed qualifications, as on the last date of submission of filled-in online application shall not be eligible to apply for the examination. The candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility before applying. It is to be noted that if a candidate is allowed to appear for the examination it does not imply that the eligibility of the candidate is verified.
Note: All qualifying / equivalent certificates should have been obtained prior to the last date for submission of filled-in online applications.
Equivalent Qualification: If a candidate claims that the educational qualification in the subject possessed by the candidate is equivalent to as those prescribed for the appointment, the candidate has to submit the Subject Equivalence G.O issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu at the time of Certificate Verification, if called for.
Age Limit : Candidates should not be over 57 years as on 0 1-07-2019 as the age of superannuation is 58 years.
Selection Procedure: The selection will be based on two successive stages viz.
a. Computer based examination;
b. Certificate Verification;
Examination fee: The Examination fee is Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) for all the candidates except SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability. For SC, SCA, ST and Person with Disability Candidates, the examination fee is Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only).
Mode of payment: Payment is to be made onlineonly through Payment Gateway (Net banking/Credit Card / Debit Card).
