Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Selection Posts for Grade C and D in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations including their Attached offices, Subordinate offices and Statutory bodies of the Government of India located in various States and Union Territories. The total no of vacancies is 261.

Name of Post: Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Stenographer Grade ‘D’
No of Post: 261
Qualification: 12th Pass or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University
Reservation: There is reservation for different categories of candidates
Age limit:
♦ Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years as on 01.08.2025, i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1995
and not later than 01.08.2007 are eligible to apply.
♦ Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years as on 01.08.2025, i.e., Candidates born not before 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2007 are eligible to apply.
There is age relaxation in upper age limit for different categories of candidates.
SC/ST: 5 years | OBC: 3 years
PWD: 10 years | ESM: 3 years
PWD (OBC): 13 years | PWD (SC/ ST): 15 years
Mode of Selection: The recruitment process will consist of Computer-Based Examination, Skill Test (Stenography), and Document Verification.
Centres of Examination: All India
