Indian Air invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment of the Group ‘C’ civilian posts of Multi Tasking Staff, House Keeping Staff, Mess Staff, LDC,Clerk Hindi Typist, Stenographer Grade-II, Store (Superintendent), Store Keeper, Laundryman, Ayah / Ward Sahayika (only for female candidates), Carpenter, Painter, Vulcaniser, Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver, Cook and Fireman at Indian Air Force.
Those who possess educational qualifications of 10th / 12th / Graduate can apply for the post. The total number of vacant posts is 255.

1. Name of Post: Multi Tasking Staff
No of Post: 70
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board.
Desirable: One year of experience as Watchman Or Lascar or Gestetner Operator or Mali from an Organization or Institute.

2. Name of Post: House Keeping Staff House Keeping Staff (HKS)

Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board. Desirable:- One year of experience as Waiter or Washer –up from an Organization or Institute.

Educational Qualification: (i) 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University.
(ii) A typing speed of 30 words per minute in English on manual typewriter.
OR A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English on computer. (35 words per minute correspond to 10500 Key Depression per Hour on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)

5. Name of Post: Clerk Hindi Typist
No of Post: 2
Educational Qualification: (i) 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University.
(ii) A typing speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi on manual typewriter. OR A typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. (30 words per minute correspond to 9000 Key Depression per Hour on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)

6. Name of Post: Stenographer Grade-II

Educational Qualification: (i) 12th class pass or equivalent from recognized Board or University. (ii) Dictation—10 minutes @ 80 word per minute (iii) Transcription

Educational Qualification: Graduate of a recognised University or equivalent. Desirable: Experience in handling Stores and keeping Accounts in a store of a concern of repute in Public or Private sector.

Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board. Desirable:- One year of experience as Dhobi from an Organization or Institute.

10. Name of Post: Ayah / Ward Sahayika (only for female candidates)

Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board. Desirable:- One year of experience as Ayah in Hospitals or Nursing Homes from an Organization or Institute.

Educational Qualification: (a) (i) Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board.
(ii) Industrial Training Institute Certificate in appropriate akin field or Trade viz– Painter or
(b) Ex-Servicemen from appropriate trade vize. Painter .

13. Name of Post: Vulcaniser

Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board or Ex-servicemen of appropriate trade.

14. Name of Post: Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade) [CMTD (OG)]
No of Post: 9
Educational Qualification: (i) Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board.
(ii) Must be holding a valid civil driving license for light and heavy vehicle.
(iii) Must possess professional skill in driving and knowledge of motor mechanism.
(iiv) Minimum two years experience in driving motor vehicles.

15. Name of Post: Cook (Ordinary Grade)
No of Post: 41
Educational Qualification: (I) Matriculation from recognized Board with a certificate or diploma in catering.
(ii) One year experience in trade.

16. Name of Post: Fireman
No of Post: 8
Educational Qualification:
Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognized board / university .
(ii) Must have undergone training in Fire Fighting under a state fire service or a recognized institution of repute.
(iii) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, Hose Fitting and Fire appliances and equipments like fire Engine, Trailer Fire Pumps and Foam Branches.
(iv) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed test OR Ex-serviceman of appropriate trade.
Desirable : (i) Should be familiar with maintenance and operation of various types of Fire appliances.
(ii) Experience of having worked in a regular Civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman from any Government.
(iii) Have passed the General Fire Fighting Course from any Government recognised Institute.
Physical Examination:
(i) Height without shoes : 165 cms provided that concession of 2.5 cms in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes.
(ii) Chest (non-expanded) : 81.5 cms
(iii) Chest (upon expansion) : 85.0 cms
(iv) Weight: 50 kgs minimum
(v) Endurance Test : (a) Carrying a man (fireman lift of 63.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds)
(b) Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (long jumps)
(c) Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.
Age: 18 to 25 years

Mode of selection:
— Written test consisting of (i) General Intelligence & Reasoning (ii) Numerical Aptitude (iii) General English (iv) General Awareness.
— Skill /practical/physical test wherever applicable based on merit/category in the written test.
