High Court of Madras has issued notification inviting the applications online from eligible candidates for direct recruitment to the posts of computer operators and typists in the Madras High Court Service.
Last date for submission of On-line Applications is 31/07/2019 .
The description of the exam is mentioned below:
1. Name of the post: Computer Operator
No of vacancies: 76
Qualification: Any Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Computer Applications from a recognized University of Indian Union in 10+2+3 or 11+1 +3 pattern, or any Bachelor Degree in Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medicine or any other discipline of a recognised University in Indian Union, in 10 + 2 + 3 or 11 + 1 + 3 pattern, with a Diploma in Computer Applications from any recognized University
OR
Any Institute recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education, and must have passed the Government Technical
Examination in Typewriting in English and Tamil by Higher Grade.
Scale of pay: Rs.20,600-65,500/- (Level-10)
2. Name of the post: Typist
No of vacancies: 229
Qualification:
a) Any Bachelor Degree in Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medicine, or any other discipline of a Recognised University in Indian Union, in 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern.
b) Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by the Higher Grade in Tamil and English.
c) Must have passed the Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation, conducted by the Directorate of Technical
Education.
Scale of pay: Rs.19,500-62,000/- + Spl. Pay (Level-8)
Age limit (As on 01 Jul 2019):
1. For reserved categories: 18 years to 35 years
2. For Others / Unreserved categories: 18 years to 30 years
3. 3. For In-Service candidates: 18 years to 45 years
Mode of selection: The selection of candidates will be based on (a) Written Examination, (b) Skill Test and ( c) Oral Test.

(ii) SC / SC(A) / ST: Total Exemption
(iii) Differently. Ab led Persons and Destitute Widow: Total Exemption
