Details for CTET December 2024 for various teachers
Name of Examination: Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)
Qualification: B.Ed. Degree/ Diploma in Education/ Elementary Education.
Structure and content of CTET:
All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which
one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.
There will be two papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to
appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage consists of:
(i) Child Development and Pedagogy,
(ii) Mathematics (compulsory),
(iii) Environmental Studies (compulsory),
(iv) Language I (compulsory),
(v) Language II (compulsory)
Candidates need to opt two languages in which they wish to appear for CTET.
Paper I (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage consists of:
(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory)
(ii) Mathematics and Science
(for Mathematics and Science teacher)
OR
(iii) Social Studies/Social Science
(for Social Studies/Social Science teacher)
(iv) Language I (compulsory)
(v) Language II (compulsory)
Candidates need to opt two languages in which they wish to appear for CTET.
Application Fee:
♦ Rs.1, 000 (For only one Paper) & Rs.1, 200 (For Both Paper) for General Category & OBC (NCL) candidates
♦ Rs.5000 (For only one Paper) & Rs.600 (For Both Paper) for SC/ ST/ Diff. Abled Person
Important Date:
♦ Duration of Online Application: 17.09.2024 to 16.10.2024
♦ Last date for submission of online Application: 16.10.2024 (Before 11:59PM)
♦ Last date for submission of fee: 16.10.2024 (Before11:59PM)
♦ Date of Examination: 15th December, 2024

Candidates can apply “ONLINE‟ through CTET website https://ctet.nic.in.The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form and upload their scanned images of latest photograph & signature. After successful submission of data and requisite fee, candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation Page.
